The sweets of Ozieri: 
the famous Sospiri (sighs) and the delicate Copuletas (Tiny domes or Cupolas)

The sweets of Ozieri are very much appreciated and sought after. So are in particular the famous Sospiri di Ozieri delicious candies of almond paste, honey, lemon covered with a thin icing and wrapped in coloured paper. They are widespread in Sardinia and beyond.
	A special mention deserves  the delicate copulettas,  small cakes stuffed with  sponge cake and almonds,  covered with a pure  white icing.

Many other different sweets belonging to the Sardinian tradition can be tasted in Ozieri rediscovering ancient and genuine flavours: casadinas, teliccas, papassinos, seadas, origliettas, cattas and savoiardi biscuits. The local city council have constituted a Committee for the protection of the Sospiro di Ozieri in order to seek news ways for a better marketing and safeguarding the sweets of Ozieri.
